Aristocrat to fight US allegations - 2004-02-09
Australian poker machine producer Aristocrat Leisure Ltd has promised to fight allegations its Hyperlink jackpot gaming machines infringe a US patent.

In another blow to the company, Australian and US subsidiaries have been served with a complaint in the Nevada District Court on behalf of a US-based individual.

"The plaintiff alleges, amongst other things, that Aristocrat's Hyperlink progressive jackpot gaming machines infringe a US patent," the company said in a statement.
