Foxwoods Ad Search Moves Forward with Arnold Worldwide and Kaplan Thaler Group - 2004-02-12
Foxwoods Resort Casino, "the wonder of it all" in southeastern Connecticut, today said they are moving ahead with two finalists in their creative agency review. The finalists are the Boston office of Arnold Worldwide and the New York office of The Kaplan Thaler Group.

"We are excited about continuing our agency review with the remaining finalists; they are extraordinary resources," said Martin Kramer, director of advertising for Foxwoods Resort Casino. "We've had productive discussions with both and hope to make a decision by early April."

Sheriff rips use of photo to back casino - 2004-02-12
Local municipal leaders and the Dane County sheriff are unhappy with pro-casino groups who've used official logos and pictures in their mailings to promote a yes vote on the Tuesday referendum permitting the Ho-Chunk Nation to transform their bingo hall to a casino.

Sheriff Gary Hamblin said pictures taken from the Sheriff's Office Web site showing Deputy Sheriff Scott Lindner and his K-9 unit dog standing next to a squad car were used in a flier distributed by the South Central Federation of Labor to its union members throughout the area.
