World Poker Tour On NBC Scores Opposite Super Bowl Pregame Show - 2004-02-11
The debut of the WORLD POKER TOUR on network television was a tremendous success. Proving that the public's growing appetite for the World Poker Tour has only just started to be tapped, THE TRAVEL CHANNEL WORLD POKER TOUR BATTLE OF CHAMPIONS on NBC scored a whopping 3.0 overnight rating on Sunday, watched by more than ten million estimated viewers.

Second only to the Super Bowl pre-game show in the 4-6 p.m. (ET) time slot, The World Poker Tour showed that its ratings juggernaut on The Travel Channel is no fluke.

Poker Room To Open Soon - 2004-02-11
Small-time St. Johns County card players are no longer going to be limited to underground poker rooms.

Dealers are being trained and construction is almost finished to furnish a new 30-table poker room scheduled to open Feb. 26 at St. Johns County Greyhound Park off Race Track Road, according to Michael Munz, vice president of Dalton Agency in Jacksonville, which represents both Jacksonville Greyhound Racing and The Poker Room.
