World Poker Tours Goes Hollywood - 2004-01-08
On Sunday, January 25 from 9-11 PM (ET/PT) Hollywood's inner circle will put it all on the table in the first episode of the WORLD POKER TOUR: HOLLYWOOD HOME GAME. The stakes are high and the tension palpable as Hollywood superstars compete for bragging rights, $25,000 in charity donations and a much desired $25,000 seat in the WORLD POKER TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP.

"It is remarkable how many A-List celebrities and Hollywood muckety-mucks tell us they are addicted to our show," said executive producer and creator of the World Poker Tour, Steven Lipscomb. "The WPT Hollywood Home Game edition gives these celebs a chance to experience what it feels like to sit at WPT final table. Meet Brian Balsbaugh, the newly appointed leader of World Poker Tour Management (WPTM). Brian is a 14-year veteran of player management and sponsorship sales in the golf industry. He graduated
with a marketing degree from Indiana University School of Business and earned his law degree at Indiana University School of Law. He is a licensed attorney and has in the past worked at Imani Sports
and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). He has a passion for business, sports, and entertainment, and has had 14 years of experience in these areas.

I have successfully managed the careers of 15 professional golfers, including quite a few of the brightest stars on the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour. I worked for a prominent sports marketing and management company and was an expert in the area of negotiating player-related sponsorships. Why, then, did I leave the comforts of the golf industry to team with the World Poker Tour? In a word — opportunity.
