Televised poker has treated Vince Van Patten very very well he's not prepared to cash in all his chips just yet. The actor and television host has signed on to develop and host "Poker Dogs," a reality show
set in the world of competitive poker.

"Poker Dogs" would showcase professional poker players in elimination-style showdowns for significant cash prizes.

"Poker players by their nature are natural storytellers," says Eric Schotz. "Poker is the mechanism for (eliminating) the players, but there's so much more for us to tell about the players, about their strategies and how they play off each other."

During the World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel, they used the term "belly buster." The game was moving so fast that I could not quite understand what the term meant. So, what is a belly buster? Chuck R.

That's nicey talk for the gut shot, Chuck. A belly buster is a draw to an inside straight; a straight that can be made only with a card of one rank, usually somewhere in the middle. For instance, you are holding a nine-eight-six and a five, and only the seven will give you a straight. There is also the double belly buster.
