Poker Industry On the Rise - 2004-01-04
A new study by bookmaker Ladbrokes shows the real future of online poker.

It seems the popularity of online poker has grown six fold in the last year, and it doesn't seem that the increasing trend is slowing down.

Industry experts predicted this rise, but not those figures, the new study show that the amount gambled in poker rooms around the world increased from £6m a day last January to £38m in December.

Those figures are beyond anyone´s expectation.

Police search for suspect - 2004-01-04
Sturgis Police are looking for a young Hispanic woman who tried to hold up a local casino with a hunting knife.

According to a police department report, a petite Hispanic female attempted to rob the Poker Alice Casino on Lazelle Street in Sturgis at 11:44 a.m. Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police the woman was in her mid 20s, 5-foot-2-inches tall and weighed about 110 pounds. She had black hair and was soft spoken with no accent. Police say the woman was wearing an oversized, quilted olive green jacket with a hood and black gloves.

Witnesses told police the woman parked outside the casino and watched activity there before entering the building.
