TIUTCHEV ON COURSE FOR ASCOT HAT-TRICK - 2004-01-25
Tiutchev was on Sunday described as being "in the form of his life" ahead of his bid to win next Saturday's Ritz Club Ascot Chase for the third time.

Successful in 2001 and 2003, the Martin Pipe-trained 11-year-old has proved to be as good as ever this season, despite not winning in three outings.

He defied tremendous odds to finish second to Edredon Bleu in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day on his most recent start, his first over three miles.

Tiutchev has become a standing dish at Ascot and Jerry Wright, spokesman for the gelding's owners The Liars Poker Partnership, said: "The Ritz Club race has been his main objective right from the start of the season as two-and-a-half miles around there are optimum conditions for him.

NBC Bets On Poker For Super Bowl Sunday - 2004-01-25
NBC Sports, the World Poker Tour and the Travel Channel will bring poker to network television when "The Travel Channel World Poker Tour Battle of Champions," broadcasts from 4-6 P.M. on NBC on Super Bowl Sunday.

A 'Super Bowl Countdown Clock' will be incorporated throughout the broadcast, so that viewers can keep track of just how much time is left before the beginning of the football game.

Eleven champions of poker have been invited to participate in the event, which will be taped at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
