World Poker Tour Events Continue Dramatic Growth; The Inaugural Year of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Proves to be a Winning Hand - 2004-01-23
Lakes Entertainment, Inc. today announced the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which started January 18, 2004 on board the Royal Caribbean's
"Voyageur of the Seas", is the most recent event on the WORLD POKER TOUR to demonstrate the domino effect of the television show's increasing popularity. Records have been set in each of the tour stops and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, hosted by PokerStars.com, is no exception with its debut featuring a huge number of players, prize money and first place payout.

219 players signed up for this week's event, which will culminate on January 24, 2004 with the filming of the Final Table for broadcast as part of the WORLD POKER TOUR series on The Travel Channel.

Harrah's Plans to Continue Poker Series - 2004-01-23
Over $20 million in official prize money is scheduled
to be up for grabs at the 2004 World Series of Poker at Binion's Horseshoe, according to Gary Loveman, president and chief executive officer of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET).

Loveman said at a press conference today that the legendary gathering that annually draws thousands of poker fans from dozens of countries to the downtown Las Vegas casino will continue this year as it has since the late casino legend Benny Binion started the tournament in 1970.
