Multiple Grade/Group 3 winner War Zone to stand in South Korea - 2004-01-21
War Zone, a Juddmonte Farms homebred who won the 2002 Prix de la Porte Maillot (Fr-G3) at Longchamp and the ’03 Poker Handicap (G3) over the turf at Belmont Park, was bought by the Korea Racing Association for stud duty this season in South Korea.

Emmanuel de Seroux’s Narvick International brokered the deal, and the five-year-old son of Danzig will stand at its stallion station on the island of Cheju-do. Narvick has worked with the Korea Racing Association on purchasing American stallion prospects over the past six years.

Video Lottery Terminals Arrive At Finger Lakes Track - 2004-01-21
It's not a casino, but it sure looks like one. Blinking lights, bars, restaurants, and slot-like video gambling machines. The Finger Lakes Race Track is undergoing a $10.5 million renovation, designed to convert the track into a year-round entertainment venue with broader appeal. Workers installed hundreds of new video lottery terminals Monday.

"It's not a casino, but as far as the senses, it'll be very similar," said Steve Martin, director of marketing. There will be no table games or video poker.
