Why would you wear a dress, way out West? - 2004-01-20
The musical comedy, "Way Out West in a Dress," tells the tale of Clarence Rawlings, performed by Jonah Pontzer, who travels to the western town of Lucky Lady, Nev. Rawlings thinks he has inherited the Lucky Lady Saloon, only to discover it is really a beauty shop. Pehaps that is why you wear a dress way out west. Then, the fun and all the schemes and shenanigans begin.
Maidens are tied up, six shooters are waved in the air, poker chips and card dealing are part of the venue as well as a lot of cowboy boots and hats, while such wacky songs as "Low-Down Son-Of-A-Snake," "Day After Day We Do Hair," and "A Rootin' Tootin' Good ol' Time Tonight" are performed to the sounds of Honky Tonk music.
