Harrah's goes all in with its Horseshoe buy - 2004-01-17
Harrah's Entertainment is expected to further its market position in the gaming industry and broaden its appeal to potential new customers with its purchase of the legendary Horseshoe brand name as well as the equally popular World Series of Poker.

In fact, as Harrah's yields from the estimated $50 million purchase continue to be counted, the least attractive part of last week's deal appears to be the Horseshoe property itself, the 52-year old downtown casino.
