Harrah's buying Binion's Horseshoe - 2004-01-13
Harrah's Entertainment is purchasing Binion's Horseshoe hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas.

That's the word from a Harrah's spokesman who refused to disclose the terms of the deal. The spokesman says an agreement was signed Monday night. The deal has to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Harrah's will buy the property that has been a landmark in downtown for over 5 decades. It will also acquire the rights to the extremely popular World Series of Poker.
