3 Card Poker games are played with a standard
52-card deck. The cards are dispersed in hands of three, with
cards shuffled after each hand. Straights have a higher ranking
than a flush, as there are fewer ways to make a three-card
straight. Aces can be either high or low.
In this variation of Poker three to six players are able to
contribute. The dealer deals three cards to each player, face
down. After this first deal follows a betting round in which
any of the players on the table can make the opening bet.
He and any other player now has to either Call or Raise to
stay into the game. Then each player in 3 card poker has to
draw two cards on the draw pursued by another round of betting.
After this final round of betting the players all show their
hands. The ranking of the hand is precisely the same as in
Regular Poker, but due to the three card limitation a Three
of a Kind is the highest hand you can get.
